Sports and athletics have been a part of my life since a very early age. I grew up in a family that was always participating in some sport or another. My childhood was filled with baseball, basketball, and football, as well as surfing, skateboarding, and martial arts. And while I still participate in many of these sports, finding CrossFit has been a life-changing experience for me.

My CrossFit journey began long before ever stepping into a CrossFit gym. I initially found a love for strength and conditioning through high school football (and a healthy dose of 80’s action movies). This led me to years of traditional weight training in various gyms. After grinding through the same routines over and over again, and consequently suffering some repetitive use injuries, training partner turned me on to CrossFit. In the beginning, to be honest, I didn’t get it. Years of traditional training methodologies had been ingrained into my head and I couldn’t understand the revolution that CrossFit embodies. But, I kept flirting with CrossFit. The real revolution for me began when I saw how CrossFit changed the lives of my friends. I saw a family go from sedentary, overweight, and unhealthy to active, fit, healthy, and happy. I saw them revamp their entire lives by prioritizing health and fitness. CrossFit became a unifying and bonding experience between them. And it introduced them to a community of like-minded people. After slaving away by myself for years in a traditional gym, I wanted what to do what they were doing.

After dropping in to a few classes at their gym, I was hooked. I began taking classes and doing CrossFit workouts at home and never looked back. What I found most intriguing about CrossFit wasn’t just the intense workouts that prioritized strength and conditioning across a broad range of skills and domains, it was the positivity of the community. I found the inclusive and supportive nature of the community and knew that I needed to be a part of it. I loved how everyone supported each other in making positive holistic life choices in and out of the gym.

Naturally, this led to me wanting to share the CrossFit revolution with others. I began coaching and instantly fell in love with helping others achieve their health and fitness goals. Watching our members use CrossFit to transform not only their bodies, but their entire perspective on life continues to be the most rewarding experience in my life. Because of this, I have committed myself to tirelessly continuing to educate myself so that I can provide excellent and cutting-edge training to our members.
